Net Position
The statement of net position presents information on all the City of Post
Falls’ assets and deferred outflows, and liabilities and deferred inflows, with
the difference reported as net position. Over time, increases or decreases in
net position may serve as a useful indicator of whether the financial position
of the City of Post Falls is improving or deteriorating.
The changes in net position provides a detailed account of the revenues
(sources of income) and expenses (the use of money) for City operations.
It reflects changes in net assets that occurred during the fiscal year.
